Wow, it's just amazing that the summer is already nearing its end. Seems like it just started. I guess a part of that feeling comes from the fact that so many of the days of June were spent inside out of the never ending rain, followed by cowering in the air conditioning from the crazy humid heat for the first week of July. But, I won't complain too much. All of that was survived pretty easily. We had no major flooding or leaks, no power outage during the oppressive heat and the past few weeks have been bright and sunny with practically no humidity.
Who says guys don't have fun at weddings? We had a ball. Well, we did at the reception. Congratulations to Maxine and her new husband Reggie. The early June wedding was a complete success. Absolutely everyone had fun. Visit the Photo Albums tab to see a few photographs. I wish there were more. I think there aren't because the photographer had a real challenge rounding people up for the group shots and that took a lot of his time away for capturing more candid ones. It also was "unfortunate" that everyone else at the wedding and reception were having so much fun dancing and visiting that they completely forgot to take pictures. That said, I think these will give you all that could not be there some sense of the festivities.
Congratulations also to my Uncle James who also got married. He and his new spouse Paula caused smiles all around when they announced their marriage. James, Paula, Ashley, Vicki and I spent an evening at the National Harbor and dined at Nando's Peri-Peri. If you have been to one of the Nando's Peri-Peri restaurants, do so. Great dishes, good price, and a very relaxed atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed a leisurely meal on a near perfect night.
